CollegeAmerica Celebrates 2013 Graduates Flagstaff

Students Commemorate Education Victories With Families and Supporters

Flagstaff, Ariz (June 24, 2013) — The Flagstaff campus of CollegeAmerica, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, celebrated the achievements of 56 graduates last week at Prochnow Auditorium, with keynote speaker Coral Evans, vice mayor of Flagstaff, and student speakers Jessica Dowling and Kelly Rippey, co-valedictorians, and salutatorian Loyce Michelle.

At the commencement, students earned 53 associate degrees and three bachelor’s degrees.

“We are very proud of our graduating class,” said Campus Director Suzanne Scales. “For many of our students, it’s been a long journey as they’ve balanced families, jobs and other priorities. And while CollegeAmerica removes some of those obstacles, the credit truly goes to these remarkable individuals who are motivated and ready to make a difference in their lives.”

Evans is serving her second four-year term as vice mayor and is the executive director of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association of Flagstaff, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing revitalization and redevelopment programs and services to residents of the city’s Sunnyside neighborhood. Evans holds a master’s degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in education with an emphasis in sustainability.
