Top Colorado Health Care Employers to Attend Career Fair

Colorado Springs, Colo (October 17, 2012) — CollegeAmerica, a leading provider of on-campus and online higher education, will host the Southern Colorado Health Care Career Event on Friday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CollegeAmerica North Campus located at 3645 Citadel Drive South, Colorado Springs.

“We use every resource available to us to help our students land great jobs after graduation,” said Jasmine Valencia, Colorado Springs director of career services. “Hosting some of the top health care providers in the state is a great opportunity for our students.”

The career fair is sponsored by the Colorado Hospital Association and the National Healthcare Career Network, which works with educators and employers to connect new talent to potential employers. The event is also sponsored by the Colorado Nurses Association. Employers from a wide range of health care industries will be in attendance, including San Luis Regional Medical Center, Evans Memorial Hospital, the U.S. Navy and Peak Vista Community Health Centers. A special Q&A session with recruiters for new graduates will also be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Graduates will have the opportunity to find out from employers what they look for in candidates and how to put their best foot forward when interviewing.
