Yes. The closure of the campus will not affect any of the credits that you earned at CollegeAmerica before the closure. Any credits that you have earned you can keep. Any credits that you earned at CollegeAmerica were earned at an accredited institution. CollegeAmerica is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, ACCSC. And ACCSC is an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Yes. Your degree from CollegeAmerica is still valid. The degree you received from CollegeAmerica was from an accredited institution. CollegeAmerica is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, ACCSC. And ACCSC is an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Your academic records will be preserved and accessible after the CollegeAmerica campuses in Colorado close. Your records will be preserved and maintained by the Center for Excellence in Higher Education, Inc. CollegeAmerica graduates, and former students, can access their records through CEHE’s Independence University and the Independence University Registrar’s Office. (see link provided in another answer below)
Yes. All of your completed credits will transfer to Independence University (“IU”), and you can complete your program, graduate, and earn your degree without interruption. IU will also give you a 30% Tuition Grant (a 30% reduction in your tuition) for any remaining tuition cost to complete your degree program. You will become an IU student and be eligible for all IU resources including, Scheduling, Student Services, Tutoring, and Career Services job search assistance upon graduation.
Generally, No. The acceptance of transfer credit is a decision made by the receiving institution. In other words, if you transfer to another college, it is up to that college to decide if they will accept any credits you earned CollegeAmerica.
If you don’t want to transfer to IU to complete your degree, CollegeAmerica will refund/return all Federal Title IV Student Loan Funds (directly to your lender) that you have received since you began your current enrollment period at the college.
CollegeAmerica will also refund/return any personal “cash” payments that you have made directly to the college since you began your current enrollment period at the college. CEHE will also write-off or eliminate any loan balance you may have through the college’s EduPlan loan program.
Yes. Below is a list of colleges that likely have similar programs where you could consider transferring. This is not a complete list, so you should look into other colleges in your area that may be an option for you to transfer into.
Maybe. The acceptance of transfer credit is a decision made by the receiving institution. In other words, if you transfer to another college, it is up to that college to decide if they will accept any credits you earned before. Generally, you should assume that credits earned at CollegeAmerica will not transfer to other colleges.
With respect to Scholarships, the decision to accept or apply any scholarships will be up to the college where you transfer. You should assume that they will not honor any previous scholarships that you may have received.

Yes. As a student or graduate, we will continue to assist you in your job search. Take advantage of this valuable, no-cost service up to a full year after graduation. Career Services can help you in making informed decisions about your career, identify employment opportunities, and fine-tune your job search skills. Although the college does not guarantee employment, we can provide networking techniques, contacts, potential interviews, and guidance during the job seeking process.

Yes. CollegeAmerica will still provide academic assistance and guidance through the college’s date of closure. Afterwards, we will also provide academic assistance through our sister college Independence University.
Yes. Because each institution has different processes in place, it will be up to that institution to guide you on specifics. You may request copies of your disability accommodations from CollegeAmerica if you require that information.
